The Curator (XXII.) & The Thriving Artist (XXIII.)
These cards are exclusive to the ETA Tarot deck. It was decided to create this custom extension to the Major Arcana, to personalize the ETA Tarot to our Toronto Artists' community.
Either of these cards can either be used or removed from readings, or become an alternative/replacement card to The Fool.

Card Descriptions:

The Curator
Upright: Visionary, Overseer, Creator, Careful Selection, Gestalt
Reversed: Closed Minded, Narcissism, Stagnation, Manipulation, Repeating Mistakes
The artist James Flux was selected for this card for his connection to the theme, having actual curatorial experience to draw from it in its creation.
The Curator is someone who takes a variety of artefacts that already exist, placing them in such a way that a narrative emerges creating a completely new world. This card is meant to be a dimensional transcendence from the previous - The World - which represents a completion to The Fools' Journey.
When the curator card appears in a reading, it may indicate that it is time to take what is accessible or skill sets acquired, to create something new. Alternatively, it may point to the fact that what you need is already at your finger tips, and to 'accept' it into your reality. The reader is presented with an opportunity to 'reincarnate', whether emotionally or spiritually, taking with them the wisdom of their previous journey, and prioritizing the exploration of a new vantage point in the next life cycle.

The Thriving Artist
Upright: Intuitive, Aligned, Thriving, Momentum, Spiritually Guided
Reversed: Jealousy, Competition, Comparison, Insecurity, Survival Mode, Regression
Artist Giselle Selim was selected specially for this card. The Thriving Artist has been a sort of tagline /motto of the Emerging Toronto Artists community since 2014.
This card is about being in Thrive mode, not 'survival' mode - aligned and guided by divine intuition and your greater life purpose.
When this card appears in a reading, is is like the moment when Neo in The Matrix, discovers he is 'the one' and steps into his true self. It is an irreversible, transcending moment, becoming a sort of super-hero version of yourself, simply by aligning with what you are designed/destined to become. A new journey now awaits - it has just begun.
The artist's depiction of this card shows a figure looking towards the awaiting mountains. Her face is yet to be revealed, but the sun can see it. We know she is equipped with everything she needs. She may chose to swim, or walk on water - as she embarks on the journey before her.
